Look at What We Did Together

 

Last Thursday, 9th January, we launched our Golden Wattle, a pendant hand-engraved with Australia’s national floral emblem - a symbol of unity and resilience. 100% of proceeds from sales of this piece went directly to both the Red Cross and WIRES emergency funds, that’s all proceeds, not just profits.

Like so many, the donations we had made didn’t feel like enough, so our team came together to brainstorm what else we could do, how we could use our skills and what we do every day to raise awareness and provide another channel for our community to donate to the emergency funds.

 

Words cannot express the gratitude and sheer admiration of our community as we share with you the total amount we raised together for those affected by the devastating bushfires across Australia. With 100% of the proceeds of our Golden Wattle pendant going directly to both the Red Cross and WIRES emergency funds, in just 30 hours you raised $124,200, with donations coming from over 11 countries.

 

 

Our aim for this piece was to create an on-going representation of hope, support and community for you to hold close, while knowing that 100% of your money has gone directly to those who need it the most right now. You shared with us your stories, what this piece means to you and how it will continue as a symbol of hope for many years to come, achieving this number together has honestly left us speechless. We cannot thank you enough.

We don’t want this to be a one-off event for this great cause as we know the devastation will not disappear overnight. With this in mind, we plan to relaunch the Golden Wattle again for a limited time in the coming months when we are able to get on top of production. With this, we will also be directing the funds to more charities to ensure your donations reach far and wide.

Awaiting a Golden Wattle?

With our suppliers jumping on board to support this initiative, every Golden Wattle is being created completely with heart. With the volume of orders received far exceeding our expectation, the current production time of 3-4 weeks may be extended as each piece is handmade to order. While we work our way through the orders with all of the NMJ team pitching in, we ask for your patience and understanding. We aim to have your beautiful piece with you as soon as possible, and you will receive an email from our online team once your piece has been shipped so that you know when to expect its arrival.
