Old Mine Cut Diamond

'More Than Yesterday' Ring

“For, you see, each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.”

Inspired by the 1889 poem “The Eternal Song” by Rosemonde Gérard, the hero piece from this collection uses a filigree-inspired gallery to reveal a secret message to the wearer.

Filigree, a delicate and intricate metalwork technique, has been used in jewellery for centuries. Made by twisting fine threads of gold or silver into lace-like patterns, filigree creates ornate, airy designs that often carry hidden meanings.

An enchanting post-consumer Old Mine Cut Diamond represents ‘Yesterday’ having been given new life through this one-of-a-kind design.

Mozambique Ruby

'As Long As There Is Love' Solitaire

Ruby, with its rich red hue, has long been a totem of love, passion, and power. Known as the ‘king of gemstones,’ it has been treasured across cultures for its deep, fiery colour, often associated with the heart.

In ancient times, rubies were believed to protect warriors in battle and ward off evil. But they also illustrated vitality and life force, making them popular in romantic jewellery as tokens of intense love and commitment.

Wrapping wire work, and small metal details paired with our Vieira Setting, a Natalie Marie Jewellery take on a vintage scalloped setting, this piece encourages us to think of all the elements involved in love, and act as a reminder of their importance as a whole.

Locket

'Ruler Of My Heart'

An opportunity to cherish your loved one, always keeping them close by, the Ruler Of My Heart Locket features a heart-shaped window to store whatever you desire.

Originating in the 16th century, lockets were initially worn to hold small mementos, like locks of hair, messages, or perfumed sachets, before becoming popular in the Victorian era for containing a portrait of a loved one. One of the earliest known examples of this was Queen Elizabeth I’s locket ring, originally commissioned for her in 1575.

Our Ruler Of My Heart Locket uses symbolism of a heart and crown, dating back to the Victorian era, symbolising the wearer as “the ruler of my heart”. A symbol of love and a promise of an everlasting bond shouted from the rooftops.

'Crescent Moon' Shield Ring

The crescent moon is a symbol of femininity, representing the transition from one phase of life to another.

Inspired by Warren B Davis’ artwork ‘Crescent Moon’ circa 1895, which features a poetic feminine shape, and it’s intrinsic connection to the cycles of the moon.

In ancient cultures, the crescent moon was associated with goddesses, fertility, and the cyclical nature of life, reflecting the waxing and waning phases of the moon. In vintage jewellery, this motif has a rich history of celebrating womanhood and is used within our Crescent Moon ring as an indication of the power of feminine energy.

'Be Mine' Ring

Rooted in Irish folklore, the rare four-leaf clover is said to bring good fortune, with each leaf standing for faith, hope, love, and luck. During the Victorian era, four-leaf clover motifs became popular in jewellery design, often given as tokens of affection and good wishes.

They also conveyed a simple message 'be mine'. With graduating layers either side of an emerald cut green sapphire representing the sacred four leaves of a clover, our Be Mine Ring is a gesture of devotion.
