Nia Neve is a thoughtful and joyful part of our customer service team. She's also mum to two beautiful daughters and sees her Mae Pendant by NMJ as a reminder of "that time in life, that I took a crazy leap of faith and landed here at NMJ. I hope it will be a good story - that sometimes in life you just have to trust your gut, even if it means diving into the unknown!"
Juggling motherhood, self, work and everything else that comes with it, Nia shares a little about her story of motherhood, the things she's learned and the things she hopes to pass on.
How would you describe your journey into motherhood?
It has been one wild ride! It’s so true what they say; that there is really nothing that can prepare you for motherhood and for me, it has been a slow (and ongoing) process of surrendering to the never-ending and ever-changing emotions that come with it. It is by far the most brutally humbling, yet beautiful journey I’ll experience.
What have your two girls taught you about love?
They’ve taught me that unconditional love is shown not in the grand gestures, but the small details of everyday life; like taking the deepest breaths before losing your patience, reading the 50th book for the day when it’s easier to just say no, or waking up repeatedly throughout the night because they just want your cuddles.
How has your own mother influenced the woman you are today?
She has instilled in me so much of what I want to part with my own girls – resilience, kindness, empathy, bravery and patience!
What do you think the world needs more of?

What does your new piece mean to you?
My new piece will serve as a reminder to keep grounded in the most beautiful people in my life; my two girls and my husband. 
At NMJ, we believe jewellery should be a considered purchase and create our pieces so that they can be passed down through generations, telling the stories of family who have worn them before. What story will your Mae Necklace hold?
My Mae necklace will tell the story of that time in life, that I took a crazy leap of faith and landed here at NMJ. I hope it will be a good story that sometimes in life you just have to trust your gut, even if it means diving into the unknown!
